In other peoples offices.....
So, I was browsing my usual blogs and discovered some really bad news.....Mr Fabulous was fired from his job apparently because of his blog. Now everyone knows that is crap and you can't be fired for this kind of thing because we LIVE IN THE FREE WORLD with things like FREE SPEECH and can do what we like in our free time when we are not at work. Whew! That was a mouthful. Anyways, what do these people think they are doing????? Are they living in the stone age? And his blog usually has nothing to do with work other than the usual stuff like so and so from work came to our bbq or i went on a business trip last week kind of stuff. How can they possibly fire him????? I'm sure that I've said worse things on my blog - thank god my boss doesn't speak English - he he sorry Sakamoto, just joking!! Anyways, give the guy some love over at Pointless Drivel! Because he's fabulous. Sorry, no link. I am a blogging retard. The link is on the side with all my other favourite places to go on the net.

In the office...
Everyone knows that the workplace is one of the most dangerous places to be! Especially for japanese OLs.

Bleeeaaaaahhh!
So, I have been negligent in posting recently. Sorry guys. I've been working my little (or not so little) tushy off. Wouldn't that be great if you could really do that? Put in a couple hours of overtime and the cellulite on your ass just disappears? Anyways, working working working. Which is kinda bad because I am feeling exhausted recently, but is good because it means that I will have money for our trip next month to EUROPE - which by the way I will be talking excessively about to everyone for probably the next month or so - as it is imminently approaching and of course afterwards I will be attacking everyone with pictures. So by the time a month is over you will be sooooo sick of hearing about it just whack me in the head with something to reset my brain so I will talk about something else.
Hmmm, what else have I done this week? Watched some movies. Some really bad movies. And some pretty good ones. Lets start with the bad ones because they're more fun to pick at :) I watched some Disney crap called Ice Princess. Anyone watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer the TV show? Michelle Trachtenburg (Buffy's sister) plays some science geek chick who becomes an figure skater. Need I say more? *retch retch barf barf* I am a sucker for renting movies with Buffy actors in them though - good or bad - I must watch them - this one fell into the 'why the hell did you make this movie Michelle?' category.
Next, Ice Age. Which believe it or not, I have been living in a bubble and hadn't seen it until this week. It was OK I guess. I was expecting more. The mammoth was funny though.
Next, I love Huckabees. I loved this movie. I wanted to watch it again right afterwards. It was funny, and smart, and the acting was good. You may have to watch it a couple of times as it is about existentialism. Don't worry if you don't know anything about it, as basically the movie explains both sides of the theory. I recommend this one.
And last, I watched Pirates of the Caribbean 2. It was exactly what I expected. Piraty talk, piraty sword fights, it was goofy, and a bit predictable (haha) but I enjoyed it. Mmmmmmm Johnny Depp. You can take me to your cabin where you don't have a dress anytime!!
I am looking forward to seeing the new Miyazaki movie, Tales of Earthsea. I will be watching it in Japanese and hopefully will be able to understand at least a small part of what the hell is going on. I have read the books so that should help a little.
And I will leave you with a pic from my friend Jean to warm your hearts. Its a santa statue. In a grocery store. It is not Christmas here. Hmmm, apparently blogger won't let me upload it. I'll update this post later with the pic.

Mmmmm....sticky
So today is a cooler day. It finally rained yesterday and it feels alot cooler this morning. We only used the fan last night and no aircon. Although we probably could've used it. But I'm not really fond of big electricity bills so off it was. Since it was feeling cooler, I was curious what the temperature was...
30 degrees - not so bad - for you Americans its about 86. Hot, But not unbearable. Keep in mind that I said it was very cool today. I'll have to check the temp on a hot day - if I remember due to the fact that I will probably be laying prone on my bed under the aircon.
However, this is the kicker - take a look at this...
Mmmmmmm.......sticky. Its around 90% humidity. No wonder I feel like I am wet all the time. No wonder I feel like having 5 showers a day. I remember someone told me the day before it rained - when it was really stinking hot - it was 95%. I guess it can't really get much higher than that before it rains.

SHI-RA-HA-MA!!! A.K.A. Our beach vacation
Woo hoo! I just got back from Shirahama and what a time it was. Beaches, and onsen (hot spring baths for those of you not living in Japan), friends, and DID I MENTION BEACHES???? Aaaaah, sand and blow up toys. Not that kind you dirty people!!! Ones that you ride in the ocean - he he. That doesn't sound much better does it!? Anyways, you'll get to see it all you lucky peeps! Pictures in random order:
A beautiful landscape of the beach
Rebecca hanging out in her yukata.
Sleeping beauty and his friend. Too bad he woke up when I was taking this picture.
Steve looks confused.
Melissa. Looking hot in her bikini!!
Ulises. Enjoying the rays on the beach.
Steve and Becs at dinner. All you can eat sushi!
LOL! When I first saw this guy I thought he wasn't wearing a suit! Turns out his super cool speedo is the same colour as his neato little lifeguard ....eermmmm... thingy. Gotta love the angle in this one.
Underwater NINJAS!!!!
Flipper saves yet another beach babe. He sure likes those girls in bikinis.
Derek. Getting the sand out of his hat.
The view from our hotel room.
Sarah and Sakamoto belting out a classic.
Uhmmmm. I don't really know what to say about this picture. That guy in the tub sure looks happy.
Awwww, true love.
Rebecca. (She yelled at me for taking this picture when she was squatting but decided she liked it after ward) :D
Me enjoying the view. There were some young Japanese guys trying out the skidoos.
Who's yo' daddy? That's right beeeatch. Sakamoto is!
I'm not sure what the significance of this statue is, but it sure made me laugh!
Matt, Sakamoto, Rebecca and Sarah waiting to get onto the glass bottom boat.
Me and Flipper enjoying some quality time together. Ahhh, how I will miss you Flipper. We had some good times together. But I think the 2 little Japanese girls I gave you to will treat you nice :)

The next karaoke hit?
It just proves that it's not how big your breasts are, or how smart you are, or how talented you are, or how dirrty you are... where am I heading with this one? Hmmm... Anyway. I'm sure looking forward to seeing this in the cyberdam! Gotta make sure to practice, and then some! |

Don't mess with the Sith
Especially the ones who wear glasses. I believe this was my second to last night in Osaka. After having a few with my Indiana friends at an Izakaya, we walked back home and, in a moment of utter crazy random acts of temporary theft, I took the construction guy's light saber and struck him down with all my powers! He was pretty okay with the whole thing really. I mean, who tries to resist a sith and actually lives to tell about it? Anyway...to those still residing in the big O, maybe you too should join me and try your hand at messing with local government employees. See where it takes you. I had fun.

The view from the top and Happy Birthday Adelle!
I decided to take a day off of work last week for my friends birthday. We decided to hit the Umeda Sky Building since neither of us had been and it looks really cool from the outside. You can take an escalator all the way to the top (39th floor) and take pictures etc. It was pretty cool! We ended up spending a few hours in there browsing around and finally made it to the top.
This garden was at the very bottom of the building. They appeared to be buildin/fixing something at the time.
I thought these coloured blocks were pretty cool
.
Some more neato architecture.
Once we got inside the building, we went up to the 35th floor I think. The had all kinds of displys on these top floors. They had these cool models. I don't really know why they were there, but they looked neat.
This one here I couldn't get a good shot because of the light and glass. I had to take the picture throught the glass - but I really liked the ladies on the bridge. The first shot I took by holding my phone camera over top the glass.
Believe it or not, I actually took this picture through glass as well, not from the top floor. Pretty sweet view of the river and the bridges.
Then it was time to get on the big escalator up to the top!
Da daaaa! We made it! And asked some nice Japanese guys to take our picture. Unfortunately it was a bit foggy that day but the view from the top was still great.
A view of downtown Osaka.
Another cool architectural picture. This shows the escalator shafts and all the mirrored glass windows at the top.

Well, I'm still a Capricorn!
Inspired by the Aquarius quiz, I thought I would test how Capricorn I am. Apparently the same percent that Ookami is an Aquarius. I think these quizzes are rigged!!
You are 73% Capricorn |

Wasting time....
Aaaah, I can't imagine what they did in the old days to fill up their time. Gosh, talking to people, leaving their houses to socialize and like, do stuff. Exercising. HA HA HA HA HA! So, I've been wasting mine the modern way I suppose. Living my imaginary life in Animal Crossing. For those of you who DON'T know what that is, have you been living in a hole in the ground??? What's wrong with you?? Go and buy a gamecube/gameboy DS (or the new DS lite) and get living your fake life!! Work, write letters to friends, decorate your little pretend house with cool stuff. Convince other people to do the same and then visit each other. Yes, many hours of real time spent on finding that perfect sofa for your living room!! Hmmm, or get some pretend dogs. Far past the old tamagochi days. Now you can take your pretend dogs for walks, buy cool toys for them and dress them in ridiculous things. And if you don't spend enough time with them they run away. Too bad you can't integrate the games and keep your pretend poochie from doing their business on your new pretend sofa. He he. So, other ways to waste time. These crazy blogging quizzes that I may be addicted to. Here are a couple for your enjoyment!!
I think it may be true. My mom made me these little pillows when I was a kid that were lime green. I love them. I still have them. I brought them to Japan with me. They make me happy. And green is my favourite colour.
Bwa ha ha! No comment.
Your Power Color Is Lime Green |
At Your Highest: You are adventurous, witty, and a visionary. At Your Lowest: You feel misunderstood, like you don't fit in. In Love: You have a tough exterior, but can be very dedicated. How You're Attractive: Your self-awareness and confidence lights up a room. Your Eternal Question: "What else do I need in my life?" |

Sayonaras are such sweet sorry...
A mega picture post today because...well, quite frankly i can do what I want. Two of New Zealand's best exports since Xena and extreme sports are returning to the homeland. I can speak for everyone in Osaka that they will be missed and wish them both all the best for their bright futures. This was the best picture of the entire night. Josh, Gypsy; you are the stars of the show we call Osaka-daze. Take a bow.
For god's sake man, calm down! Get that man a beer, and quickly!
Could someone get that scottish fool out of the picture please? He's spoiling the view of the two incredibly beautiful women in kimono.
