We went to Kyoto, Shirahama, USJ in Osaka, Kobe, Hiroshima, Miyajima, and Nara in 10 days. It was jam packed.

Hehe. Typical Japanese vacation. Get off a bus, snap a few pics for about 30 minutes and then back on the bus! Not quite that bad! We took shinkansen (bullet train) to the far locations so we had lots of time to relax when there, and most of the cities were only an hour or so away. It was awesome!!!
